Goodness, Gracious, Great Blocks of Blue

Some of the girls that I used to work with and I get together officially once a month (unofficially, more like once a week) to do something. This month that something was crafting some blocks. Chynna found them on a craft blog, its a certain combination of 4 letters per block on ten blocks and you can make tons of words out of them. It's actually a really fun game to try and make words, a little puzzle every time.

So whether you're feeling festive:

older:

or motherly:

You can change your blocks accordingly.

I still need to get a list of all of our word options but so far, just from playing around I know you can do:

Shawn
Whitney
Berkley
Christmas
America
American
Lucky
Funky
Easter
Spring
Summer
Fall
Winter
and other randoms...but I know there is supposed to be a word for every holiday...

The Easter Bunny Cameth

And his visit was a success.

There was even a little candy in there for mom and dad.

And that silly rabbit surprised me with some Easter Lilies!

I hope your Easter was great, too.

(The entire cast of Glee is going to be on Oprah tomorrow, set your DVR's!!!)

Blend It Up, Smoosh It Up, Way Up

Cool title, eh? hahaha

So my friend Chynna and I decided it would be a great idea to make some baby food (and our friend Tiffany came and wrangled the babies) for my Berky and her Crew. Now that I'm on the other side of it, I'm not sure it was...but it was a fun day nevertheless.

It just took a lot of time, a lot of effort, and an amount of money that leaves you wondering...did I save anything at all??? I mean, some of the things were cheaper, but some seemed to be more expensive which makes me feel like I did nothing but break even. It is a good way to introduce new flavors that the baby food companies don't make though.

Bottomline: Sure, do it if you want to, if you feel like you've got time on your hands and nothing better to do sure. In my humble opinion your time would be better spent vacuuming or crafting.
