Sovie's First Cereal

Sovie had her first cereal at 5 months. I wasn't in any rush to start spoon feedings because that's pretty much my least favorite baby phase. It's just a lot of work. Messy work. But she had gotten pretty grabby and very interested in what we were eating and Shawn was feeding her Otter Pops against my will anyway so it just seemed like time.
She was willing and pretty interested in what was happening. Didn't make any funny faces at all.
Then her brother really wanted in on the action, we got some funny videos of him feeding her. It was hard to convince him to give the spoon back.
I can't believe my baby girl is old enough to be spoon fed! Where has the time gone?

Lindseths Take Over Missouri

In July we had the Lindseth Family reunion in Missouri. Hot, hot, hot, hot, humid, miserable Missouri. And somehow we managed to have a good time.

Sovie baby was a hit, here she is playing with her Uncle Chris.
One of the highlights for Berkley was turning the water on and off in the tub.
We went on a Duck Tour which was pretty hot and miserable.
The kids got to take turns driving the boat though, so that was fun.

Pretty happy to be out of the heat and at Sonic waiting for some icy refreshment.
Lots of fun with cousins, here he is coloring with Emily.
Aunt Kathleen made these awesome shirts for everyone, grankids 1-11...who's next?
The Lindseth originals without Peter. We hope he makes it next time.
Sovie loved cuddling with Aunt Gretchen! We can't wait until we all get together again.

Thanksgiving Point Gardens

A family outing...sometimes I forget that my own family might actually enjoy going to the Gardens. This was Berkley's first trip to the Children's Discovery Gardens. I think he really enjoyed it.Sovie enjoyed sucking on daddy's finger.
She's growing soooooooooooooo fast.


After that fun we decided to venture into the main gardens and feed the koi.
Berkley loves feeding them and I must admit Shawn and I do too.

Those things swarm! They get so noisy when they're eating too. If you ever want to go with us just let me know, you can get in for 1/2 price!

Independence Day

When our plans fell through we did a makeshift BBQ at our place. Aunt Amy and Uncle Luke came.We played with balls in the backyard.


Shawn had a real nice time.
Our next door neighbors came over for some...

These pictures got out of order and I'm too lazy to fix it but Sovie pooped out her first red, white and blue ensemble.

We finished off the night with some fireworks...

Or pop its...they still count as fireworks right?
