Blend It Up, Smoosh It Up, Way Up

Cool title, eh? hahaha

So my friend Chynna and I decided it would be a great idea to make some baby food (and our friend Tiffany came and wrangled the babies) for my Berky and her Crew. Now that I'm on the other side of it, I'm not sure it was...but it was a fun day nevertheless.

It just took a lot of time, a lot of effort, and an amount of money that leaves you wondering...did I save anything at all??? I mean, some of the things were cheaper, but some seemed to be more expensive which makes me feel like I did nothing but break even. It is a good way to introduce new flavors that the baby food companies don't make though.

Bottomline: Sure, do it if you want to, if you feel like you've got time on your hands and nothing better to do sure. In my humble opinion your time would be better spent vacuuming or crafting.

Good to know! (at least for the future). I always see the baby food maker at Williams Sonoma and start thinking it would be fun to use it one day. Maybe just because the machine itself looks cute, but obviously looks can be deceiving.

Crew HATES a lot of the veggies! HAHA He just loves his fruit! What a little stink, I can usually get him to eat it but Todd can't!

It's great to experiment. I found the fork smasher to work just as well as the baby food ricer or whatever it's called now. Berkley sure doesn't look like he is starving for anything: food, love or attention.

P.S.~you need to add "cool Mom" to your "about me" space.

wow that picture of the ziplocked baby food makes me want to try it. All those colors are just so pretty. But I won't, because my house needs the vaccuum. And I'm lazy :) Homemade baby food is for supermoms.

The colors of the food are way more beautiful than the baby food jars. And I bet that it is far less gelatinous. So you always have that on your side!
